In my compositions, I decided fairly early not to walk the path of the experimental avantgarde. My music is moderately modern and lively and its range of expression includes the whole spectrum from quiet and expressive to tough and boisterous. Melody and harmony are based on a modal or free-tonal foundation. Generally, my compositions are well accessible for both players and listeners.
Notation is conventional and I am not aiming at extreme difficulties in playing technique, which means that in most cases not just professional musicians can find access.
A number of pieces was written especially for college classes; some are also suitable for an advanced youth music school level.
